Who is Nasraoui

Born in Lebanon in the late 1970s, Alan Nasraoui is a Lebanese industrialist and general manager of Sonaco Food Industries.

He received his school education in Lebanon and traveled to Canada to pursue his university studies, which he completed with distinction at the University of Montreal - Canada and the HEC with a degree in management.

Mr. Nasraoui has been able to gain large experience in many areas such as: planning, auditing and working with a variety of ethnic, international and religious groups. He also showed a tremendous capacity in cooperating with everyone from his position as responsible for formulating strategic policies and budgets in the field of food industries In Montreal, Canada. In addition, he has worked in research to achieve goals in various industrial fields

Despite his success in the Diaspora, he chose to return to Lebanon and invest his qualifications in the service of Sonaco Food Industries, a company founded by his father George Nasraoui more than 40 years ago. He made this transition by choice, believing in his family’s commitment to Lebanon and desiring to develop and introduce modernity into the Lebanese food industry.  

He has been working at his father’s company for years. His vision was to unveil new challenging administrative, financial and marketing programs aiming for, and focusing on, the growth of the plant in terms of equipments tools machinery and human talent and drawing on future policies for the development of the Lebanese food industry with the hope to reach global expansion.

Since he returned to Lebanon, Alain Nasraoui has been involved in public interest concerns which led him to be part of institutions and associations related to the industrial and political interest. He believes that the national industry, if managed well, can leverage the national economy, with his vision for a promising future for the country of the cedars he quotes: “Lebanon is my choice and my choice is Lebanese” This is not just a slogan for Alain Nasraoui. It is a commitment and a lifetime project.
